DESCRIPTION:Teacher: Paolo Desirò DO Ptfrom 16 to 19 June 2026\nBaragazza (BO)Intensive Course in Tissue Perception and Manual Listening in a Natural Environment\nCourse Description\nThis course offers an intensive training experience immersed in nature\, in the nearby woodland and\, weather permitting\, with practical work in water at a lake located at 1000 meters above sea level. \nThe natural environment becomes an integral part of the learning process\, supporting the refinement of manual perception and the development of the practitioner’s ability to listen to the patient’s body. \nThe aim of the course is to develop greater sensitivity in recognizing tissue qualities\, their rhythms and dynamics\, while improving the practitioner’s neutrality\, presence\, and perceptual awareness. \n\nLearning Objectives\nAt the end of the course\, participants will be able to: \n\n\nrecognize and differentiate different qualities of tissue density \n\n\nperceive and respect the patient’s rhythms \n\n\nimprove practitioner neutrality during treatment \n\n\npromote fluid circulation through rhythmic work \n\n\nunderstand and apply still points \n\n\nrecognize and work with tissues exhibiting vibratory qualities \n\n\n\nCourse Structure\n\n\nDuration: 4 intensive days \n\n\nFormat: theoretical-practical lessons\, experiential work\, practice in nature\, individual\, pair and group work \n\n\nSchedule\n\n\nThursday\, July 16\, 2026: 9:00–13:00 / lunch / 14:30–17:30 \n\n\nFriday\, July 17\, 2026: 9:00–13:00 / lunch / 14:30–17:30 \n\n\nSaturday\, July 18\, 2026: 9:00–13:00 / lunch / 14:30–17:30 \n\n\nSunday\, July 19\, 2026: 9:00–13:00 \n\n\n\nDetailed Program\nDay One – Tissue Density\nThe first day is dedicated to the study of density\, a fundamental parameter and one of the most easily identifiable under the practitioner’s hands. \nTopics: \n\n\nconcept of tissue density \n\n\nfunctional bone density \n\n\npathological bone density (e.g. osteoarthritis) \n\n\nsoft tissue density: muscles\, tendons and ligaments \n\n\nvisceral density \n\n\ncerebral density \n\n\n\nDay Two – Visceral Density and Rhythms\nIn-depth study of visceral and cerebral densities and introduction to rhythmic work. \nTopics: \n\n\nassessment of visceral densities \n\n\ncerebral density \n\n\nintroduction to tissue rhythms \n\n\nrelationship between rhythm and fluid circulation \n\n\ninitial practical approaches to rhythmic work \n\n\n\nDay Three – Rhythms\, Tide and Still Point\nThe third day focuses on developing the practitioner’s ability to respect the patient’s rhythm. \nTopics: \n\n\neducation in practitioner neutrality \n\n\ndifference between practitioner rhythm and patient rhythm \n\n\nthe tide and the long tide \n\n\ngroup work to verify respect for the patient’s rhythm \n\n\nstill point: definition and approach \n\n\nstill points in different tissues: \n\n\nfluids \n\n\njoints \n\n\nconnective tissue \n\n\n\n\n\nDay Four – Vibratory and Vibrational Techniques\nThe fourth day focuses on working with tissues that present a vibratory quality. \nTopics: \n\n\nendocrine tissues and their perceptual characteristics \n\n\nvibratory work applied to visceral tissues \n\n\napproaches to reducing visceral spasms \n\n\napplied example: work on the gallbladder \n\n\nPractical work in water will take place in a small lake on Monte Tavianella\, a few kilometers from the training site. Rock shoes or athletic shoes are recommended\, especially for those who do not enjoy the sensation of a clay-based lakebed. Access to the lake involves a 10-minute walk through the forest; athletic shoes are recommended.
